Chief Financial Officer + Project Finance (Renewable Energy)
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function, with responsibility for corporate finance, treasury, funding, and capital allocation with strong experience in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the finance function, including financial management, corporate finance, treasury, and financial planning.
- Lead the structuring, negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of project financing transactions, working closely with lenders, financial advisors, and other external stakeholders.
- Develop and execute financing strategies for new investments and capital projects, including debt raising, refinancing, and optimisation of capital structures.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, providing financial modelling, commercial analysis, and support on acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic transactions.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planning across multiple entities.
- Oversee treasury, liquidity, and cash management to support capital-intensive operations.
- Deliver timely financial reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Establish robust governance, risk management, and financial control frameworks.
- Lead and scale a high-performing finance team.
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience covering corporate finance, FP&A, project finance, treasury, capital raising, and strategic transactions.
- Experience within renewable energy is essential.
- Strong understanding of project financing and investment evaluation.
- Proven experience managing regional or multi-country finance operations.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent); CA preferred.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in a fast-growing environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering senior executives, investors, lenders, and boards.
