About the role
Our client is a prominent market leader in their industry with a rapidly expanding presence across the Asia-Pacific region. To spearhead their next phase of regional growth, they are looking for a top-tier financial leader to join their executive team in Singapore to oversee their expanding regional operations.
Summary of the role and key responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive board to deliver high-level financial insights and market expertise that support commercial expansion across APAC
- Oversee the regional business-as-usual financial operations, ensuring robust governance and precise group financial management across all entities.
- Drive the corporate M&A strategy alongside with investment team including financial valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, and the subsequent financial integration of regional acquisitions.
- Lead, mentor, and align small, decentralized finance teams located throughout various countries in the region to foster a high-performance culture
- Partner closely with the executive board to provide strategic financial insights and market expertise that support commercial expansion across APAC.
- Optimize regional treasury functions, manage capital allocation, and ensure strict compliance with the statutory and tax regulations of diverse jurisdictions.
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a recognized professional qualification like CA or CPA.
- Minimum 15 years of financial management experience, with at least 8 years in a proven leadership capacity managing cross-border and culturally diverse teams
- Extensive track record as a regional finance head, with solid experience managing complex corporate finance functions across multiple APAC markets.
- Experience in corporate finance and deal-making, with hands-on experience navigating complex regional M&A transactions with investment team.
- Proven leadership capability with a track record of managing and inspiring cross-border and culturally diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-suite executives and board.
- Excellent command of both English and Chinese is essential to collaborate effectively with regional stakeholders.
