About the Role
Vishram Management Group is shifting its Global backend operations to its Ahmedabad office and is looking for a strong Operations Manager to take complete ownership of the India backend operation.
This person will act as the single point of contact between U.S. leadership and the India team and will be responsible for ensuring that Accounting, HR, Marketing, and Technology functions operate efficiently, meet deadlines, and support the performance of our U.S. businesses.
We are specifically looking for someone with a retail business management background who has previously managed business operations beyond store operations—including accounting oversight, HR, marketing, reporting, systems, and team management.
Functions You Will Oversee
You will directly manage and hold accountable:
- Marketing Center of Excellence
- VMG Human Resources
- Accounting Teams – Vishram Group
- Technology / IT Manager
- Backend Business Operations & Reporting
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Operations
- Take complete ownership of VMG's Ahmedabad backend operation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for U.S. management.
- Convert management priorities into clear tasks, deadlines, KPIs, and accountability.
- Conduct daily/weekly operational reviews with department managers.
- Identify problems before they reach senior management and drive them to resolution.
- Build SOPs, workflows, reporting systems, and accountability structures.
Accounting & Financial Oversight
- Oversee accounting teams supporting Vishram group of businesses.
- Review AP, AR, bank reconciliations, cash flow, expenses and management reports.
- Monitor P&L performance, unusual expenses, overdue receivables and financial discrepancies.
- Ensure accounting information is accurate and delivered to management on time.
- Work with operations to identify cost savings and improve profitability.
HR & People Management
- Manage the VMG HR Manager and ensure recruitment requirements are completed on time.
- Oversee attendance, productivity, performance management, onboarding and employee accountability.
- Ensure department managers are meeting staffing and performance expectations.
- Develop a performance-driven culture within the India office.
Marketing Center of Excellence
- Oversee the Marketing Manager and marketing team.
- Ensure marketing activities are connected to measurable business results.
- Review campaign execution, social media, digital marketing, promotions and reporting.
- Hold the marketing team accountable for deadlines, KPIs and quality of execution.
Technology & Systems
- Manage the Technology Manager and ensure reliable support for U.S. operations.
- Oversee business systems, user access, technology issues, automation and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive backend work and improve efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate has worked in retail, supermarket, QSR, franchise, hospitality retail, or another multi-location business and understands how different departments work together to drive profitability.
You should have experience in several of the following areas:
- Multi-location retail/business operations
- Team and department management
- Accounting and P&L oversight
- AP/AR and financial reporting
- HR and recruitment management
- Marketing oversight
- Business technology and systems
- SOP and workflow development
- KPI and performance management
- Cost control and profitability improvement
This is not a coordinator or administrative position.
We need a hands-on business operator who can independently manage multiple departments, challenge managers when performance is below expectations, solve problems, and provide U.S. leadership with one clear point of accountability.

- Accounting and management reports are accurate and on time.
- HR positions are filled and employee issues are handled promptly.
