Chief Financial Officer – Private Equity Backed SaaS Business (Mid-Market)

We are exclusively retained to appoint a high-impact Chief Financial Officer to lead a fast-scaling, private equity-backed SaaS business through its next phase of transformation and value creation culminating in a planned exit within two years.
Backed by a leading mid-market PE firm, the company has built a strong foundation of recurring revenue, loyal enterprise clients, and impressive EBITDA performance. The next chapter is about accelerating growth, driving margin expansion, and maximising enterprise value.
The Opportunity
This is not a maintenance role it’s a chance to shape the financial and strategic direction of a business at a pivotal inflection point. As a true partner to the CEO and investors, you’ll have the platform, autonomy, and backing to build a high-performance finance function, drive operational excellence, and deliver a market-leading exit.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a bold financial strategy that drives EBITDA and enterprise value.
- Partner with the CEO and Board to deliver the value creation plan.
- Lead all FP&A, reporting, treasury, and governance activity with pace and precision.
- Prepare the business for a successful exit including vendor due diligence and transaction execution.
- Build and inspire a world-class finance team aligned to growth and performance outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Proven CFO experience in SaaS or software-led businesses (£50–100m revenue).
- Demonstrated success within private equity environments, ideally through to exit.
- Commercially driven with deep insight into growth levers, value creation, and scalability.
- Hands-on, decisive, and confident operating in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Strong presence and credibility with investors, boards, and senior stakeholders.
