The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Executive Team to provide strategic advice on financial management and planning within the Bureau and leading the enterprise-wide financial operations.
The CFO oversees the core financial functions of the Bureau to enable effective service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. This includes the responsibility of ensuring the alignment of the Bureau's financial management with relevant legislation, particularly the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and building financial capability across the Bureau.
The CFO is capable of interpreting, analysing, advising, and presenting on complex financial information to enable the Bureau to make informed financial decisions. The CFO will require a comprehensive knowledge of government funding and financial management frameworks, as well as an understanding of procurement and property/asset management.
