The Role
As a key member of our executive leadership team, the CFO at Praemium is responsible for our financial strategy, financial management and value creation. As an ASX listed company, the role is responsible for ensuring we meet all our financial obligations, including statutory financial reporting and audit processes. The role holds accountability for investor relations and provides leadership to the finance team and wider business.
The role will develop and execute strategic financial plans to support our decision-making and results. It’s an unparalleled opportunity to drive our value in the market. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead the end-to-end budgeting process.
- Collaborate on the development of financial business strategy.
- Provide financial insights to drive commercial outcomes.
Statutory Financial Management and Reporting
- Provide quality control and governance over financial reporting.
- Ensure financial accounts comply with accounting standards and ASX listing rules.
- Manage capital, cash flows, and tax processes.
Investor Relations
- Manage relationships with investors and share registry.
- Prepare ASX announcements and participate in the Disclosure Committee.
Leadership
- Lead and manage the finance team including payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the Board and Leadership team with insights on performance, strategy and investor perspectives.
- Engage with auditors, financial advisers and external buy/sell side analysts.
Essential Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
- CA or CPA qualified with an undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years leading senior finance teams.
- Minimum 10+ years in senior financial management roles.
- Experience with ASX-listed companies or other stock-exchange listed companies, is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory financial reporting and ASX requirements.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, ASIC standards, and financial legislation.
- Strong experience in financial planning & analysis and exceptional financial management.
- Experience with finance transformation and optimising multiple business entities.
- Proven ability to optimise a finance function and enhance investor relations.
- Strategic, forward-thinking, and skilled at building relationships.
