Job Description
Demand Planning support:
- Collaborate with Country SCM to generate and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast with latest assumptions
- Maintain demand planning systems to reflect latest forecast and alignment with HQ SCM
- Monitoring the MDM tool (including but not limited to creating material request, copy action, extending/updating material, maintaining local code, UPID etc, production planning and material control)
- Collaborate with countries to improve forecasting accuracy and fidelity for each market.
Product Launch
- Coordinate with Countries to ensure accurate and timely Mfg POs for NPL products
- Work with Country marketing and NPL team to finalize the launch timelines for all NPL products
- Drive timely delivery of NPL products by leading the execution of NP Framework and NPLR meetings
- Update and share NP Dashboard with Leadership team at agreed frequency
- Finalize the Budgets for all NPL products in alignment with Country marketing and latest market scenario
Forecasting:
- Achieve consensus for operational demand forecast by facilitating monthly forecast meeting with sales, marketing & finance and get the forecast updated on IBP through country
- Monitoring actual sales to drive continuous improvements in consensus forecasting with marketing and sales
- Update IBP forecasts basis relevant market intelligence information on pricing, promotion, market penetration
- Use statistical modelling to review the resulting statistical forecast model
- Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting, update best fit statistical model to generate accurate base forecast.
Supply Planning, Inventory Management and Budgeting:
- Monitor manufacturing, supply and delivery vs plans, and follow up to ensure objectives are met
- Align & implement critical decisions for identified risks, opportunities & associated mitigation/action plans
- Lead budget planning for key products and ensure accurate budgeting in line with sales and supplies
- Oversee Budget vs LE performance and trigger tactical plans execution at HQ SCM and Country levels
- Drive LSL, slow moving and excess inventory liquidation plans through Countries to minimize write off impact
- Drive effective collaboration within Countries and HQ cross-functional teams (SCM/ Logistics/ PPMC/ NPL/ etc) to ensure consistent supplies of key products on OTIF basis.
- Define, review, and improve performance on key operational KPIs like Budget vs. LE% supplies, OTIF, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Days, Sales Gap analysis, Full Kitting, Write-off analysis, R vs C vs A, etc
- Drive relevant SCM and operations execution meetings with countries
- Assess stock prioritization, pull forward and deferral request based on demand movements
- Prepare Dashboard & MIS for monthly updates/ meetings with Leadership team
- Share shipment modes and work with country and SCM team to reduce air shipments wherever possible.
- Participate in identifying products for AVD to mitigate OOS risks for key items, control costs, and maintain market competitiveness.
- Review safety stock levels and provide recommendations after discussions with countries, considering market demand fluctuations, new opportunities, and order trends.
Functional/Technical Skills or Industry Experience
- Relevant qualification in Business Operations & Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- 10+ years of experience in an SCM function like Demand Planning/ Supply Planning / Project Management / Business Operations
- Previous exposure on working with statistical forecast is a plus
- Exposure to SCM and S&OP is a must
- Experience in the FMCG/Pharmaceutical industries is essential
- Strong knowledge of exports/imports is essential
- Good working knowledge with ERP systems (SAP) and forecasting tools
