The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing PE Portfolio company with a Brisbane head office. Backed by one of Australia's pre-eminent PE firms, they are well funded with a clear mandate for rapid future growth.
The Challenge
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- The production of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
- Plan, implement, manage, and run all financial activities including business planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Enhance and maintain appropriate internal financial controls and risk management safeguards
- Critically support the ELT in the formulation of the business’s strategy
- Play a leading role in corporate development/M&A opportunities
- Provide analysis of financial information and make recommendations to further improve the success and profitability of the business
- Manage the statutory taxation obligations, including preparing tax calculation work papers
- Driving process improvement initiatives and implementing financial control strategies to support business expansion plans
- Leading financial due diligence and integration of business acquisitions
- Support business unit heads in the pricing and commercial assessment of new contracts/tenders
- Manage, mentor and develop a medium sized accounting function
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA / CPA qualified with relevant financial leadership experience
- Ideally Big4 or second tier-chartered accounting experience prior to your successful transition into industry
- Superior financial accounting and management reporting experience
- Strategic planning and complex financial modelling
- M&A, corporate development and post M&A integration experience
- Experience in the development/enhancement of internal controls and financial policies
- Previous banking, treasury and funding experience will be looked upon favourably
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Superior executive presence and comfortable being board facing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who can build relationships across the business
- Passionate with high achievement drive and a can-do attitude
- Proven experience in a private equity environment will be advantageous
