The Key Accountabilities Of The Role
- Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, marketing plan and budget in alignment with the segment business objectives (New business growth, expansion revenue and client retention)
- Lead market research to identify macro trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the segment vertical, providing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with Product teams to refine product positioning and work in with Marketing, Sales and Commercial teams on crafting assets, and compelling messaging to develop sales enablement tools that align with evolving market demands.
- Establish a robust competitive intelligence framework, delivering strategic insights and recommendations to enhance product differentiation and market positioning.
- Support the segment leadership teams in aligning cross-functional teams on go-to-market initiatives and effectively communicating market insights through presentations and workshops.
The Key Responsibilities Of The Role
Market & Competitor Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis within core industry verticals to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Build a competitive intelligence framework and insights that provides detailed analysis of key competitors, their product offerings, and market strategies that support product differentiation, pricing strategies, and sales tactics.
- Collaborate with product, delivery and sales teams to analyse customer needs, preferences, and pain points to inform product and marketing strategies aligned to our core industry verticals
- Provide actionable insights to guide strategic decisions on market entry/development, positioning, and customer targeting.
- Continuously assess and refine our go-to-market strategies to align with evolving market demands and drive execution via marketing, commercial and sales teams
Marketing, Commercial, Product And Competitive Positioning
- Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, Product and Marketing teams to refine product messaging and positioning across our SaaS solutions for each key market vertical
- Develop the marketing plan that drives new business acquisition, retention and expansion revenue
- Collaborate with the marketing, commercial and sales teams to design and implement targeted marketing campaigns and compelling value propositions to target audiences, ensuring alignment with overall go-to-market strategy.
- Support the development of competitive intelligence assets – for reports, presentations, sales enablement and campaign activity.
- Assist in the development of new product offerings based on market feedback and competitive insights.
- Use market insights and competitive analysis to inform pricing, packaging and commercial bundling of SaaS solutions
- Develop and manage the marketing budget in line with business growth and profitability
- Collaborate with your peers across sales and account management to discuss and drive pipeline acceleration, expansion opportunities and revenue retention
- Develop and review performance metrics with an eye on ROI, ensuring that each marketing activity is tracked and measured - Use data and dashboards to inform future programs.
- Drive agility and nimbleness to address the ongoing demand for opportunistic and ad hoc marketing needs of the sales teams in response to the health of the pipeline and change in market conditions.

- You are pragmatic and possess strong commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to budget, forecast and prudently manage available funds to achieve effective outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance competing priorities and leverage team resources effectively.
- You can navigate between strategy and operational elements of marketing – and are comfortable to "roll up the sleeves" as it's an autonomous position.
- You have knowledge of systems such as Salesforce and how to leverage them to delivery key insights
- Exceptional ability to analyse market data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Strong business acumen with a passion for technology and innovation.
- Strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail.
- 15+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, product marketing, or a similar role, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven business.
- Strong background in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and product positioning.
