Overview
We are partnering with a rapidly scaling, venture-backed AI and data science company to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a senior executive role with full ownership of the company’s financial strategy, capital structure, and global financial operations.
The CFO will play a critical role in shaping long-term growth, supporting international expansion, and partnering closely with the executive team and board as the business scales its platform and enterprise footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Strategy & Fundraising
- Lead and execute multi-million funding initiatives across institutional and strategic investors
- Leverage a global investor network spanning the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia
- Support future fundraising rounds, structured financing, and long-term capital planning
Financial Strategy & Business Growth
- Own company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and modelling
- Partner with executive leadership to align financial strategy with product, commercial, and growth objectives
- Provide data-driven insight to support decision-making at board and executive level
Investor Relations & Board Engagement
- Act as a primary interface with investors and board members
- Communicate financial performance, growth narrative, and strategic priorities clearly and credibly
- Support governance, reporting, and investor communications
Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls, risk management frameworks, and governance standards
Strategic Partnerships & M&A
- Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and corporate development opportunities
- Lead financial diligence and integration planning where applicable
Finance Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance function
- Oversee senior finance leadership and ensure scalable processes as the business grows
Person Specification
Experience
- Senior finance leadership experience within high-growth technology, AI, SaaS, or data-driven businesses
- Demonstrated success leading global fundraising processes and managing investor relationships
- Experience operating at board level and partnering closely with founders and executives
Network
- Established, trusted relationships with institutional investors, strategic partners, and financial stakeholders internationally
