Your Mission
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee all financial aspects of PropertyMe and MePay. You will drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and support the company’s strategic goals. Additionally, as the Responsible Manager for MePay’s payments service, you will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain a strong risk and governance framework. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to financial leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support business growth.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Drive financial performance and efficiency across the organisation.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Executive Director and leadership team.
- Lead financial reporting and investor relations.
- Ensure robust financial controls, policies, and procedures are in place.
- Oversee financial risk management and compliance across PropertyMe and MePay.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including ASIC requirements for MePay.
- Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors and regulators.
- Oversee financial operations of MePay, ensuring secure and compliant payment processes.
- Act as Responsible Manager for the payments service, ensuring compliance with financial services regulations.
- Implement governance frameworks to support MePay’s financial operations.
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain and enhance risk management strategies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulators.
- Communicate financial performance and insights to key stakeholders
What You Bring:
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or similar senior finance role.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, including experience in financial services.
- Experience acting as a Responsible Manager under ASIC regulatory requirements (preferred).
- Expertise in financial planning, reporting, and risk management.
- Strategic mindset with strong leadership and communication skills.
- CPA, CA, or CFA qualification preferred and additional certifications related to compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., RG146)
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- High integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
