Role Overview
Our client, a high-growth infrastructure services firm, is seeking a high-impact Interim CFO. The multi-state organization is growing through acquisition, requiring an operational leader who can navigate the complexities of a post-acquisition environment, manage a team of 11 across Finance, IT, and HR, and provide the PE sponsors with rigorous, transparent financial visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Readiness: Lead the charge in satisfying current audit requirements and ensuring all schedules are accurate and timely.
- PE-Grade Reporting: Produce high-level monthly reporting to provide real-time visibility into performance.
- Post-Merger Integration (PMI): Stabilize financial operations across 15+ multi-state branches and ensure technology is yielding reliable data.
- Functional Oversight: Provide strategic and operational leadership across Accounting, Finance, IT and HR leadership to ensure the back office scales at the same rate as the field operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Proven track record as an Interim CFO or Consultant in turnaround/rapid-growth environments.
- Strong collaborative spirit—you are a coach who can mentor a team of 11 through a period of transition.
- Hybrid- 4 days onsite/1 day remote- passion and ability to contribute growth state hours (50-60/week)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operations leadership experience- Deep dive analysis/reporting into job-costing data, and coach a growing team.
- Private Equity Experience: You understand the cadence, urgency, and reporting precision required by PE sponsors
- Industry Context: Previous experience in Service-Based or Infrastructure industries is a must. Familiarity with project/job-based accounting is highly preferred.
- Tech Stack Savvy: Proficiency in Sage and Job Manager is a significant advantage.
- Strong communicator who builds bridges between the field and the boardroom.
