JOB OBJECTIVE
To improve product and part availability across categories, we have launched a focused initiative anchored in the
Theory of Constraints (TOC). The core principle is simple -
availability drives sales. When the right product is not available at the right time and place, it directly affects revenue, channel trust, and our ability to deliver on customer expectations.
The TOC framework helps identify and resolve the constraints that slow down throughput - whether in planning, sourcing, warehousing, or distribution. By enabling better flow of materials, information, and decisions, we can reduce lead times, improve fill rates, and bring greater agility to both supply and service systems.
KEY DELIVERABLES AND ACTIONS
- Constraint Diagnosis: Use TOC methods to identify and fix bottlenecks in planning, sourcing, warehousing, and distribution to improve throughput and market delivery.
- Flow Optimization: Redesign material, information, and decision flows to reduce lead times, improve fill rates, and enhance cross-functional coordination.
- System Alignment: Enable real-time visibility and early warning systems to prevent breakdowns and keep operations aligned with sales and customer needs.
- Culture Shift: Promote flow-based thinking and system-oriented actions to ensure product availability drives sales and customer satisfaction.
- Institutionalization: Implement training, best practices, and regular communication to embed TOC principles into daily operations. Build a network of TOC champions
Essential Attributes
- People management skills, Run multiple CFTs
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with business acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or equivalent analytics tools.
- Understanding of operational mechanisms, Effiencies and cost optimisation
- Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate insights effectively.
- Attention to accuracy, process discipline, and commercial foresight.
