Head of Business Operations / General Manager – BitDelta India
Job Description
The General Manager – BitDelta India will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of BitDelta’s operations in India, including business strategy, regulatory compliance, market expansion, and revenue growth. This role will serve as the primary representative for BitDelta India, ensuring strong positioning in the Indian crypto ecosystem while driving operational efficiency and business performance.
The GM will oversee exchange operations, regulatory adherence, and business development, while also spearheading strategic initiatives to enhance BitDelta’s market presence and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in crypto exchange management, fintech leadership, or financial services, with expertise in compliance, trading infrastructure, and revenue optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute BitDelta India’s growth strategy, aligning with global business objectives.
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
- Drive revenue growth by optimising trading volumes, user acquisition, and engagement strategies.
- Oversee P&L management, ensuring sustainable profitability and financial performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Act as BitDelta India’s official representative for FIU India compliance and reporting. Coordinate with government bodies, law enforcement agencies, and financial regulators to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure full adherence to AML, KYC, and other regulatory requirements in India.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to proactively manage regulatory changes.
- Establish and enforce risk management frameworks to safeguard against fraud and illicit activities.
- Ensure timely submission of all regulatory reports and maintain a strong compliance culture.
3. Operations & Trading Infrastructure
- Oversee the end-to-end operations of BitDelta India’s trading platform, ensuring seamless performance, security, and efficiency.
- Work closely with product and technology teams to enhance user experience and platform capabilities.
- Optimise crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions, ensuring liquidity and competitive market-making strategies.
- Lead customer support and risk management teams to ensure efficient issue resolution and user satisfaction.
4. Market Expansion & Competitive Positioning
- Identify and drive strategic partnerships with banks, fintech firms, payment gateways, and institutional investors.
- Develop and execute market entry strategies for new product offerings, including derivatives, staking, P2P trading, and NFTs.
- Work with marketing teams to design and implement user acquisition campaigns, loyalty programmes, and referral incentives.
- Strengthen BitDelta’s brand presence through industry engagement, media representation, and key partnerships.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Build and manage a high-performing team across operations, compliance, marketing, customer support, and business development.
- Foster a results-driven culture with clear KPIs and accountability metrics.
- Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to ensure alignment with BitDelta’s global vision.
- Represent BitDelta at industry conferences, regulatory discussions, and high-profile events to enhance brand positioning.
- Implement performance monitoring systems to track operational efficiency and business success.

- Achieve a 30-50% user growth rate within the first year.
Operational Excellence & Leadership

Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or crypto exchange operations.
- Proven expertise in P&L management, business development, and revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of Indian crypto regulations, FIU policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to scale fintech/crypto platforms in India.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic execution, and stakeholder management skills.
